Most homes are designed for people. But in one house in South Carolina, a renovation ended up helping someone a little furrier.

Friends, a 15-year-old Yellow Labrador named Jackson had reached the stage of life where stairs were no longer easy. Like many large dogs, he developed hip dysplasia, a painful joint condition that can make climbing steps difficult. For senior dogs, something as ordinary as going upstairs can slowly become a daily struggle.
Jackson’s family noticed the change. During renovations to their home, they decided to install a residential elevator. Technically, the lift was meant for the homeowners as they grow older. But it quickly became something else as well.

A TikTok video later posted by a family member known as Logan showed Jackson calmly sitting inside the transparent tube-style elevator. With help opening the door, the old Labrador steps inside, rides up, and avoids the stairs that once caused him pain.
