Ingredients

1 cup water (preferably filtered)

½ teaspoon ground turmeric

or 1-inch piece fresh turmeric root, sliced

1 stick Ceylon cinnamon

1 small sprig fresh rosemary

or ½ teaspoon dried rosemary

A pinch of black pepper

Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey or a squeeze of fresh lemon

Instructions

Bring the water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan or kettle.

Add the cinnamon stick and rosemary sprig to the boiling water.

Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for about 5–8 minutes so the flavors and oils are released.

Add the turmeric and a pinch of black pepper, whisking well so the turmeric dissolves properly.

Remove from heat and let the tea steep for another 2 minutes.

Strain the tea into a mug.
